Results of the LaingBussion Awards

The LaingBuisson Awards took place on 11th November 2015, this year marking a decade of celebrating excellence in independent healthcare.

We were delighted to be shortlisted as a finalist in the Management Consultancy category for our systems thinking study into how spending on interventions such as reablement services to keep people in a lower risk band could save costs across the whole health and social care system.

An impressive gala dinner was held at the London Lancaster Hotel to celebrate the nominees and announce the winners. The Prederi team attended the evening with around 800 other guests. The event was hosted by Michael Portillo who, before announcing the results entertained everyone with stories of his life both as an MP and more recently a “former future prime minister”.

There were over 500 nominations made for this year’s awards and 187 finalists were shortlisted across a number of categories, including Clinical Services, Management Advisory & Consultancy, Social Care and Industry Innovators & Leaders. 28 awards were presented on the evening, which culminated with the award for Outstanding Contribution. This range of awards highlighted the depth and variety of expertise across the sector. The nominations were assessed by a panel of expert judges representing a range of organisations including NICE, Imperial College London, National Autistic Society, Royal College of Nursing and many more.

Prederi was shortlisted for the management consultancy award along with six others who have provided advice and a variety of other services for many projects across the country over the last year. Finally congratulations must go to Hazlewoods Health and Care team who won the management consultancy award for “their provision of high quality independent advice to the health and care sector”
